Palmdale Water District (PWD) is now offering a self-service bulk water fill station for contractors and others needing small amounts of non-potable water, or non-drinking quality water.
The station allows water purchasers to quickly fill up water trucks or tanks and pay with a credit card. It has threaded output connection sizes of 3/4-inch and 2 1/2-inch. There is a minimum purchase of 50 gallons at a cost of 10 cents per gallon.
Bulk water is often used for water truck services, filling pools, stand-by fire protection, concrete cleaning, dust control and watering large landscapes.
The newly installed station is located along the chain-link fence, just east of PWD’s main office at 2029 East Avenue Q in Palmdale. It is open from 6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays. For more information, call the Engineering Department at 661-441-5949.
