The Board of Directors of the Palmdale Water District will discuss and consider adoption of its proposed 2014 Budget at their regular Board meeting on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 7:00 PM.
Two new Directors were sworn into office on December 11, 2013, Director Joe Estes, division 2 and Director Vincent Dino, division 5.
The District will be starting another project that will replace approximately 10,000 feet
of old and deteriorated water mains in the area of 20th St. East and 22nd St. East between Avenue Q and Palmdale Boulevard. The work will begin the first part of December and continue for about 5-6 months.

The Palmdale Water District is proposing to establish a “Water Supply Fee” that will provide funding for the acquisition of new water supplies to support new development. The Board of Directors will be considering this proposed fee at the September 25, 2013 regular Board meeting. New development will pay the proposed Water Supply Fee to provide the water for their projects. Existing customers will not be charged.

Some twenty years ago, Palmdale Water District started working with the US Forest Service to manage sediment in Littlerock Reservoir. Sediment (rocks, gravel, and soil) has been washing down from the San Gabriel Mountains, above the dam, since the Dam was completed in 1924.
