The Board of Directors of the Palmdale Water District adopted the 2013 Budget at their regular Board meeting on Wednesday, January 9, 2013.
Governor Jerry Brown issued a drought declaration today, an action that formalizes the severity of ongoing, record-breaking dry conditions.
Due to severe drought conditions, low water supplies, and to be in compliance with the State Water Resources Control Board’s new Emergency Drought Regulations, the Palmdale Water District Board of Directors approved a Resolution on July 23, 2014 enacting strict water conservation measures with the goal of a 20% reduction in water usage for the rest of the year.
The new website was designed and created with you, the customer, in mind. Easy management of accounts, paying bills, finding service applications, rebate forms, educational projects and programs, and employment opportunities are among the website features available right at your fingertips!
The District’s “Before the First Drop” campaign is well on its way. To be entered into the drawing for a new landscape renovation, PWD customers filled out the first survey. In July, there will be another survey. All customers that turned in their first survey need to be sure and fill out the second survey to be entered into the drawing.
The District’s “Before the First Drop” campaign is divided into three phases; the first survey, the education phase, and the last survey. The first survey ended April 30th. Two new Directors were sworn into office on December 11, 2013, Director Joe Estes, division 2 and Director Vincent Dino, division 5.
