Water quality testing is performed to monitor the treatment process and to ensure that the public water supply conforms to regulatory standards. The exact constituents tested for and testing frequency is based on the California State Water Resources Control Board/EPA regulatory guidelines.
The District’s in-house laboratory is state certified through the California State Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program. PWD’s ELAP Certificate number 1776. Analysis not conducted by PWD are sent out to a third-party ELAP certified lab.
